Which Payment Reference to Use & How to Download a Proof of Payment

The digital world is simplifying our lives by making it easy to do online payments with the ‘click of a button’. However, the payment’s correct Reference Number is essential in order for our Billing Department to allocate it to the correct Customer.

Which reference should you use? Make it easy on yourself (and for all future payments) by using your Domains.co.za Account Number as your Payment Reference. This way you don’t have to change it every time you do an online payment.

You can also use your Domains.co.za invoice number as a reference, which you may want to change for every individual invoice payment! Please ensure that you, or your bookkeeper, capture it correctly, additional digits can cause chaos in correctly allocating a payment.

While online banking is awesome, sometimes gremlins can sneak in, and that Proof of Payment (POP) your bank should have sent to us didn’t arrive, or perhaps you may have an error in the reference?

Should there have been an error, no problem, just send us your bank’s Proof of Payment in a .pdf format, on email from your Domains.co.za account’s registered email address to billing@domains.co.za.

REMEMBER: Always use your Domains.co.za Account Number as your payment reference.

 

Here’s how to obtain a POP from all the major banks in SA:

FNB Customers

  • Log in to your FNB account.
  • At the top of your screen, select the “Payments” tab.
  • Select the “History” sub-menu option.
  • To the right of the payment in question, click 'Download’.

 

ABSA Customers

  • Log in to ABSA Internet Banking.
  • Select the “Transfer and Payment” tab.
  • Select “View Payments History”
  • Select the transaction type and click “Search”
  • Select the payment and click “Generate”.

 

Capitec Bank Customers

  • Log in to your Capitec internet banking.
  • Select the payment in question.
  • Scroll down and select "Send Payment Notification"
  • Enter your email address to receive the POP.
  • Click "Send".

 

Nedbank Customers

  • Log in to Nedbank online banking.
  • Select the Recipient.
  • Under Last payments, select “Share proof of payment”.
  • Select email and enter your email address for the POP.
  • Select “Send”.

 

Standard Bank Customers

  • Log in to Standard Bank internet banking
  • Select "Transact" at the top
  • Under the "History" dashboard, select "Proof of Payment"
  • Select the relevant Transaction for Domains.co.za (DiaMatrx)
  • Select "Proof of Payment".
  • At the top right, select the option you want to download, or save the Proof of Payment.
