How to create an E-Mail Account in Outlook 2010


  • Open Microsoft Outlook
  • File Menu → Info→ Account Settings → Account Settings again
  • New → E-mail Account → Next
  • Select the option Manually configure server settings or additional server types and click on Next
  • Internet E-mail → Next
  • Complete the required information:
    Your Name - Enter your name as you would like it to appear to the people that will receive e-mail from you.
    E-mail Address - Enter your e-mail address
    Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - mail.your-domain-name.co.za
    Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) - will be that of the company that you are using to connect to the internet.
    User Name - Enter your e-mail address
    Password Enter the password for the above e-mail address
  • Next → Finish
