Please explain the meaning of Stats on my Website.

The stats for a website will display as Visits, Unique Visits, Page Views and Hits. They are defined below:


HITS:

This is the number of file items that a visitor has downloaded from your website onto their PC, iPad or other mobile device. Hits will included Buttons, Graphics and Images individual even if more than one appears on a page.

PAGE VIEW:

Page View records the number of individual pages that have been viewed by all visits, even if they are a returning visitor and have previously viewed the same pages.

VISIT:

When a visitor lands on your home page, this will count as a 'visit'. Visits include visitors who may be returning to your website to view it.

UNIQUE VISIT:

This stat will display all New Visitors, i.e. those that are viewing your website for the first time and exclude those that are returning.
