Additional Information
Email Protocols
IMAP keeps your emails on the server and synchronises them across devices, making it ideal when you check your email from multiple devices. POP downloads emails to your local device and typically removes them from the server, which may be suitable if you only use one device.
SSL Encryption
Enabling SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) ensures your email communication is encrypted, providing an extra layer of security. Always use SSL if it’s available to protect your data during transmission.
Troubleshooting Tips
If you encounter issues, double-check your email server settings, ensure your internet connection is stable, and verify that your email password is correct. Also, ensure your Apple Mail application is updated to the latest version to avoid compatibility issues.
