This tutorial assumes you already have FileZilla running on your computer but have not connected to a remote server.
1.Select the File menu and then Site Manager.
You can add your site information here. There are two options.
2. Click New Folder – A folder is useful when you want to group your work or personal websites to separate the website types.
3. Type the desired name.
4. Now click on New Site.
5. Select the General Tab and type in your FTP Host Name
6. If you have a custom FTP port, you can type that here. If you don’t know what it is, just leave it blank.
7. Normally you need use FTP protocol, but if you want a secure transfer, then you can select FTP here.
8. Encryption can be set.
9. Select Logon Type should you want to login as Anonymous, Normal, Ask for Password, Interactive, or Account.
10. Use Normal to log in with a username and password
11. Now let’s see some Advanced settings. Select Local directory and Remote directory.
12. Let’s check Transfer Settings. Some servers support Active transfer mode and some Passive.
13. If you don’t know, then you can leave it at Default. and click OK.
14. To connect to your site, select the first icon on the right under the menu bar.
That’s it! We are now connected to the remote server, and login details are saved for quicker connections in the future.
15.To disconnect from the server, simply click the Disconnect icon (9th from the right), Or click the Server Tab and Disconnect.
