An error message: Missing Theme, on the frontend of your website could be as a result of developing your website on a local testing environment and not correctly transferring the theme files to the live version.
1. Re-upload all theme files via SFTP – if you still see a white screen then please follow the following steps:
2. To make doubly sure that it is not the WordPress theme – go to your Control Panel’s File Manager
3. Locate the wp-content folder
4. Rename the the theme folder to disable it
5. If the theme was the issue, you should now be able to Login to the website via wp-admin
To rectify this, there are a few choices open:
1. Select a completely different theme
2. Roll the WordPress theme back to the previous version: either download a previous version or via your backup
3. Notify the Theme Developer about the issue and establish when they will issue a patch and reinstall after this has been done.
