A common WordPress error is: Connection Timed Out

This is caused by possible resource limits, usually as a result of large plugins, theme function issues, and exhausted PHP memory limits.

This error can be fixed in very easy ways:

1. Increase the memory limit of PHP. This will enable to meet large plugin resources successfully.

2. Deactivate all plugins and then carefully remove the one that is causing the problem.

3. Switch to a default WordPress theme to identify if there are any problems caused by the theme itself.

Another cause of the timeout error is a low Maximum Execution Time value, that will cause the process to end before it is completed.

This can be resolved by editing the Maximum Execution Time value within the Select PHP Version of your Hosting account.
