At 21:00 12 January 2017 we will be replacing our primary BGP border router with an upgraded model.

No downtime is expected as traffic will be pushed across to our secondary BGP router.

Cloud Software Upgrade (Resolved)

We will be performing a scheduled upgrade of our cloud infrastructure from 15 December 2016 from 19:00 until 7:00am 19 December 2016

This upgrade is update our cloud software to the latest LTS version.

No extended downtime is expected, there may be brief moments where your VM is inaccessible for a few minutes while it is hot-migrated between hypervisor nodes.
If there is a problem Hot-Migrating the VM between hypervisor nodes, your VM will be rebooted.

Emergency Power Maintenance DC3 Rutherford Estate 

VOX has just advised us that there is a faulty power circuit breaker in their Rutherford Estate DC3 facility. The circuit has to be replaced urgently and maintenance has been scheduled tomorrow evening (Saturday) 29 October between the hours of 23h00 – 01h00.

This will effect some of our Reseller hosting services and VPS servers.

NOTE:

Reseller and Cloud services in Teraco will not be effected

PHP websites not loading (Resolved)

Hi,

We are aware of an issue on rs1.cphost.co.za regarding PHP websites not loading.

This appears to be caused by an automated cpanel update which has broken.
cPanel + Cloudlinux are currently working on the problem.

This is only affecting websites running "Native PHP" under the PHP Selector.
If you switch your PHP version to 5.6 and click "Save" your site will display online.

Cloud Migration - 5th August 2016 (Resolved)

22:26 - All VM's are shutdown, The management engine is now being migrated to Teraco.


21:30 - VM's are currently being shutdown

On the 5th August 2016 we will be migrating our cloud hosting infrastructure to our new infrastructure in Teraco, Isando.

We are scheduling a maintenance window between 21:30 pm Friday 5th August 2016 and 06:00 am Saturday 6th August 2016.
During this time all VM's will be shutdown and the infrastrucute will be migrated to Teraco Isando.

Downtime will be experienced during the physical move, however we do not expect downtime for the entire duration of this maintenance window.
We do not expect any problems during this migration, but as a pre-caution, we have arranged dedicated staff from all our vendors to be on standby during this maintenance window.

Notes:
 - No IP Addresses will be changing.

Good Day,

Earlier this week we picked up some anomolies on our Cloud storage. We were advised by OnApp (The Vendor) that an upgraded was needed to be performed in order to resolve the issues.

This upgrade has failed and our Cloud storage needs to be completely rebooted.

 - We are going to proceed with shutting down all cloud VM's to protect their data.
 - Once all VM's have been stopped, the cloud storage will be rebooted and consistency checks will be done.
 - Once the consistency checks have completed we will proceed with booting up the VM's again.

We sincerly apologize for this and are currently looking at alternative ways of avoiding situations like this in the future.
