How to Setup a Catch-All Email In cPanel
This article assumes that you have already logged into your Domains.co.za Account and have accessed the cPanel Dashboard – refer below for steps on how to do this.
Follow these steps to configure a catch-all email using the Default Address feature in cPanel:
1. Scroll to the Email section and click Default Address.
2. Choose the Domain you want to configure from the Drop-down Menu.
3. Select Forward to Email Address, then enter the email address where you want all unrouted mail to be delivered.
4. Click Change to save your settings.

To disable the catch-all, return to this screen and select Discard the email while your server processes it by SMTP with an error message.

What To Avoid In Catch-all Email Address
A catch-all can also attract large volumes of spam, since spammers often send emails to random addresses at a domain. To minimise spam, consider combining the catch-all with strong spam filters or limiting its use to temporary periods during promotions or high activity.

- It’s best to forward the catch-all address to an actively monitored mailbox to ensure quick responses and regular inbox checks. Avoid setting the catch-all to a mailing list or an unattended address, as this may cause important messages to be overlooked.
- Catch-all settings only apply to emails that are not routed. Emails sent to existing email addresses or forwarders will still go to their respective mailboxes as configured.
- To keep your mailboxes organised, use filters within your email client (like Outlook or Gmail) to automatically tag or sort messages received via the catch-all.
- You can also monitor catch-all usage by enabling email logging in cPanel or by checking the mailbox receiving the catch-all forwards to identify trends, spam sources, or potential legitimate leads.
- If you notice excessive spam, consider switching off the catch-all or configuring the Discard with error message option in cPanel for more control.
Login to Domains.co.za Account
1. Go to the Domains.co.za Login website page.
2. Enter your Email and Password and click the “Sign In” button.
3. You will see the Domains.co.za Dashboard, displaying the Manage Account menu on the left and your Account Information, Account Overview and Open Support Tickets on the right.

4. Click on Manage Services to view the sub-dropdown menu and select the hosting package for the domain you want to work with – in our example we are using Web Hosting.
5. Click the Manage button to the right of the domain name you want to access.
6. The display will now show Product Information, Quick Manage, Resource Usage and Site Statistics for that domain name.
7. Under Product Information, scroll down to Control Panel, which will display cPanel to the right, and click on the Login button.
8. The cPanel Dashboard will now be displayed.
