Once imported, you can customise the layout, update text, tweak colours, replace images, and publish your refreshed website in just a few steps.

How to Access Our AI Website Builder
Before you begin, ensure your Site Builder plan is active. Then follow these steps:
1. In your client dashboard, click Manage Services and choose Site Builder from the menu on the left-hand side.
2. Select the Site Builder button to open your Website Builder workspace.
3. Alternatively, choose your Web Hosting service from the Manage Services menu, click Manage next to your domain and click Site Builder under the Quick Manage options.
IMPORTANT:
Allow pop-ups for Domains.co.za in your browser settings to ensure Site Builder loads correctly.
How to Import a Website to a Blank Project
The Website Builder will automatically copy and recreate the selected website’s structure, text, and images into your new project. If you are importing a website for the first time or starting from a blank slate, follow these steps:
1. Go to the My Websites page.
2. Buy or connect your domain and click Edit Website.
3. In the Template Selector, choose the Import Any Website template.
4. Enter the URL (domain name) of the website you wish to import.
5. Click the Import button to begin the process.
How to Import Over an Existing Website
If you already have a website built in Site Builder and wish to replace it with imported content:
1. Go to the My Websites page.
2. Click Edit Website on the site you want to overwrite.
3. In the Website Builder, hover over the New/Reset dropdown menu at the top of the screen.
4. Select the Import option.
5. Enter the URL (domain name) of the website you wish to import.
6. Click the red Yes, import website button, to confirm.
IMPORTANT:
Any and all existing website content will be overwritten when you import the new website.
Additional Information
The Import feature is designed to simplify the website creation process by using your existing content as a starting point. However, please note that imported websites may not look exactly like the original version due to differences in third-party plugins, scripts, and any other impacting technologies.
If your imported website requires additional customisation, you can:
- Manually adjust the layout and design using the Site Builder tools
- The import feature is limited to 20 pages per import.
- Imported websites may differ slightly in appearance or functionality due to third-party elements.
- Always review and test your website thoroughly before publishing.
Editing and Customising Your Imported Website
After the import is complete, you can personalise the design to reflect your brand.
- Change Header Text: Update headings and titles to match your brand message.
- Tweak Colours: Adjust your colour scheme to suit your logo and style.
- Update Images: Replace placeholder images with your own visuals.
- Remove or Reorder Elements: Delete any unwanted sections or rearrange objects to refine your layout.
- Adjust Layout: Modify spacing, alignment, and menus to make the design uniquely yours.
- Add Branding: Upload your logo, update your brand name, and choose a background that matches your identity.
- Publish Your Website: Once you’re satisfied, click Publish to make your newly imported and customised website live.
Login to Domains.co.za Account
1. Go to the Domains.co.za Login website page.
2. Enter your Email and Password and click the “Sign In” button.
3. You will see the Domains.co.za Dashboard, displaying the Manage Account menu on the left and your Account Information, Account Overview and Open Support Tickets on the right.
