How to Delete WordPress Categories
This article assumes that you are already logged in to your WordPress website Dashboard.
– Enter your username and password, then click Log In.
– In the left-hand menu, hover over Posts and click Categories.
– This will take you to the page where you manage all your site’s different content categories.

– You will see a list of all your categories on the right-hand side. Find the one you want to delete.
– Hover over the category name you want to delete.
– Several options appear beneath it. These include Edit, Quick Edit, Delete, and View. Click Delete.
– A confirmation message will appear asking if you are sure you want to delete the category. Click OK to confirm.
Reassigning Posts (if necessary)
If the category you are deleting has posts assigned to it, those posts will be reassigned to the default category (usually Uncategorised). You can reassign these posts to another category by editing each post individually or using the Bulk Edit feature.

Bulk Deleting Categories:
Use the Bulk Actions feature to delete categories from your WordPress website at the same time if necessary. To delete a Category, tick the boxes next to it on the Categories page. Next, select Delete from the dropdown menu and click Apply.
Changing the Default Category:
To ensure your WordPress site’s posts are reassigned correctly, you can modify the default category before you delete a Category. Navigate to Settings > Writing and use the Dropdown Menu to find a new default post category. To make changes to your Settings, click Save Changes.
Using Plugins for Advanced Category Management:
Plugins are available to make category management more effective. For instance, you can bulk delete categories in WordPress and the posts that go along with them if needed.
SEO:
Be careful when you delete categories from your WordPress site, as it may impact your site’s SEO (Search Engine Optimization), especially if search engines have already indexed them. To prevent broken links, implement redirects for deleted categories. Redirection and other plugins can help with this.

Login to Domains.co.za Account
1. Go to the Domains.co.za website Account Login page.

2. Enter your Email and Password.
3. Then click the “Sign In” button.

4. On the right of the Dashboard under the “Manage Account” menu, click “Manage Services” on the drop-down menu and select your Hosting plan, our example uses Web Hosting.

5. Scroll down to the “Quick Manage” section (below “Product Information”) and click on the WordPress icon. If you haven’t yet installed WordPress, it will ask you to first do so.

6. On the right of the Dashboard under the “Manage Account” menu, click “Manage Services” on the drop-down menu and select your Hosting plan, our example uses Web Hosting. (refer image above).
7. Click “Manage” next to the website domain you wish to access in cPanel.

8. The Product Information section will display – click the “Login” button next to Control Panel.

9. On the cPanel Dashboard, in the menu on the right, select “WP Toolkit”, or if you haven’t yet installed WordPress “WordPress Management”.

10. There is also a WordPress icon under the “Popular Applications” section on the cPanel Dashboard.

2. Enter your “Email” and “Account Password” and click “Log In”
