This guide explains how to reset Linux VPS password. The root account is the primary administrative account on a Linux VPS and provides unrestricted access to the operating system. It allows you to install software, configure services, manage users, and perform server maintenance.
If you forget your root password or need to secure your server after an administrative change, you can reset the password through your VPS management interface. Regularly updating the password also helps improve server security and reduces the risk of unauthorised access.
IMPORTANT:
Choose a strong password that includes uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
