Steps to Remove a WordPress Post
You can quickly and easily clean up your blog by deleting test articles, clearing out unnecessary drafts, and organising your content. You can move posts to the Trash, restore them if necessary, or permanently remove them using WordPress’ user-friendly tools.
You should have already logged in to your WordPress website’s admin area (yourdomain.com/wp-admin) with your credentials.
1. On the left sidebar, you’ll see various options for managing your site. Hover your cursor over “Posts” to reveal a submenu with additional options.
2. Click on “All Posts” in the submenu. This will display a list of Posts; these include “Published”, “Draft”, and “Trash” Posts.

3. Next to each category (“Published”, “Draft”, and “Trash”), you’ll see a number that indicates the number of Posts each status holds.
4. Find the Post you wish to delete. By default, Posts are listed in chronological order, but you can use the search box or filter options to locate a specific Post.
5. Hover over the title of the Post you’d like to remove. This will reveal several options beneath the titles: “Edit”, “Quick Edit”, “Trash”, and “View”.

6. Click “Trash” to move the post to the Trash folder.
(Note: Moving a post to “Trash” doesn’t permanently delete it. You can recover or permanently delete it later.)
Managing Deleted WordPress Posts
If you want to permanently remove the Post or restore it, go to the “Trash” section:
1. From “All Posts”, click “Trash” at the top of the screen. This will display all Posts that have been moved to the Trash.
2. In the Trash folder, hover over the Post title again. You’ll see two options: “Restore” and “Delete Permanently”.
– “Restore” will move the Post to its original status (either “Published” or “Draft”).
– “Delete Permanently” will remove the Post from your WordPress site completely.
Bulk Deleting WordPress Posts
If you have multiple Posts to delete, WordPress allows you to Bulk Delete them easily:
1. From “All Posts”, check the box next to the Posts you want to remove.
2. In the dropdown menu labelled “Bulk Actions”, select “Move to Trash” and click “Apply” to move Posts selected to the Trash.

Additional Information
Draft Posts – Posts that are saved but not yet published are called Drafts. If you have any draft posts, they will appear in “All Posts” under the “Drafts” tab. To remove a draft posts, use the same actions mentioned above.
Editing Before Deleting – Click “Edit” or “Quick Edit” to review or edit a Post if you’re unsure about removing it. This lets you edit the content without completely deleting it from your website.
Scheduled Posts – Posts you considered publishing in the future can also be deleted. To locate and remove the scheduled Post before it goes live, follow the same steps.
Login to Domains.co.za Account
1. Go to the Domains.co.za website Account Login page.

2. Enter your Email and Password.
3. Then click the “Sign In” button.

4. On the right of the Dashboard under the “Manage Account” menu, click “Manage Services” on the drop-down menu and select your Hosting plan, our example uses Web Hosting.

5. Scroll down to the “Quick Manage” section (below “Product Information”) and click on the WordPress icon. If you haven’t yet installed WordPress, it will ask you to first do so.

6. On the right of the Dashboard under the “Manage Account” menu, click “Manage Services” on the drop-down menu and select your Hosting plan, our example uses Web Hosting. (refer image above).
7. Click “Manage” next to the website domain you wish to access in cPanel.

8. The Product Information section will display – click the “Login” button next to Control Panel.

9. On the cPanel Dashboard, in the menu on the right, select “WP Toolkit”, or if you haven’t yet installed WordPress “WordPress Management”.

10. There is also a WordPress icon under the “Popular Applications” section on the cPanel Dashboard.
WordPress can be Accessed Online via cPanel
1. Go to your cPanel URL or cPanel Login page.

2. Enter your “Email” and “Account Password” and click “Log In”
3. On the cPanel Dashboard, in the menu on the right, select “WP Toolkit”, or if you haven’t yet installed WordPress “WordPress Management”. There is also a WordPress icon under the “Popular Applications” section on the cPanel Dashboard.
