This guide explains how to create a POP email account in cPanel using the Domains.co.za Customer Portal.
Creating a POP (Post Office Protocol) email account allows users to download and store emails locally on their devices. POP email accounts are commonly used when users prefer offline email access or want greater control over local email storage.
Unlike IMAP, which synchronises emails across multiple devices, POP typically downloads emails directly to a single device. This can help reduce server storage usage while providing local backups of important messages.
